Bipartisan House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Members to Address Veteran Suicide Prevention

On Monday, April 29, 2019 at 5:00pm EST the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-Cali.) and Ranking Member Dr. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) will hold a press conference ahead of the first hearing on veteran suicide scheduled for Monday, April 29th at 7:00 pm EST to discuss what steps Congress can take to prevent veteran suicide.

Background:

Given the most recent news of 3 veteran suicides at VA facilities in just 5 days, Chairman Takano and Ranking Member Roe have made responding to the national suicide crisis and its impact on veterans their number one priority this Congress.
